The Perfect Spring Statement: Kaleidoscope

Statement enough to turn heads, modest enough to keep the class. How perfect is this look spotted outside the Issey Miyake Paris Fashion Week show? The subtelty in colour seems so enchanting, we were sat in the office staring at it for quite some time just taking it all in. 'Statement' is a word I hate when referring to fashions, as I feel it doesn't give the individual the credit they deserve for even wearing such a style - it's all about that piece of clothing. After all, fashion is the clothing, style is what you do with it. But in this instance, it just works. We salute you!

For the Queen of Kaeidoscopics, look to Mary Katrantzou for inspiration.

How To Wear Floral, Without Wearing Floral.

Now that spring has well and truly sprung, we've been discussing florals together at CofD lately, and how we're not so sure about it. There are two ways it can go: either the beautifully sculpted and feminine Dior way, or the Grandma's curtains kind of way. Then it hit us: how could we wear florals, without wearing florals?! The answer, beautiful people, is simple - layer vibrant colours with a subtle graphical print and the human eye does the rest for you. We don't know who this girl is but my god, she's got it right.

Is the tartan trend dead?

Thanks to Stella and Phoebe tartan had a real revival last season, but is the hype still alive? Can we still wear tartan or are we commiting a fashion sin if we do? This photoserie from A-list fashion blogger Gary Pepper a.k.a. Nicole Warne proofs we can. Make sure you choose pastels for a great Spring look.

It's no secret the fash pack (chic word for fashionable women outside the European fashion shows)  are the real trend setter nowadays. And with the street style scene getting crowded with street style photographers and instagram paparazzi's it's easy to discover what will be hot and happening tomorrow. We've spotted 3 trends to note down in your Moleskine right now (or even better bookmark it via Evernote)

trend 1

Do it like Chiara Totire and dress totally in white. This ton sur ton trend is massive this spring.

trend 2 logomania

Honestly new head of design at Moschino Jeremy Scott couldn't be more spot on. His McDonald's-inspired collection tells it all: logos are back. The bigger the better.

trend 3 Clashing Prints

A trend that's inextricably linked to the street style scene: prints. The more the merrier. Combine checks with flowers, Pied the Poule with stripes and polka dots with metallic. Go crazy on the prints. You cannot go wrong with this.
